Picture book about a mysterious underwild cat (Uraoamote wildcat) that travels back and forth between the underworld and the front world, and his encounter with a girl.

This work was originally published by Horinouchi Publishing in 2015 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the Iriomote wildcat, and has been reprinted by KISSA Books with a new binding in 2023.

 

About author: Nana Inoue

A writer, painter, and author of picture books from Maizuru, Kyoto who currently resides in Tokyo. At the age of 16, she went to the U.S. to study art. She is graduate of Musashino Art University in Tokyo and has had her works featured at several exhibitions and art fairs in Japan and abroad. These days she writes children’s books. In 2018 “Kuma madeno Osarai – process for becoming a little bear” was awarded the silver medal for “Best Book Design from all over the World” in Leipzig, Germany.
